Meet Pavel
A father,
a scientist,
a runner,
a coach
Hi, I’m Pavel, a Norwegian trail and ultra runner and coach. I’m also a father of two girls, and a scientist with a PhD. As an amateur runner in terms of the time I can dedicate to training, I have achieved elite-level results (ITRA 834 – world top 0.07%) through consistent, yet relatively low-volume, balanced training.
Coupling my passion for running with an analytical, curious mind and an academic background in natural science, I’ve gained significant theoretical knowledge in the science and physiology of endurance training. I’m excited, extremely motivated, and also privileged to stay up-to-date with the current state-of-the-art training approaches for the demands of trail, ultra, and distance running. This helps me achieve my running goals, and I sincerely hope it will help you achieve yours as well.
I have a wealth of practical knowledge about training and racing, which I’m particularly proud of and want you to benefit from. I value experience-based tools and am a strong believer that only the synthesis of practical and theoretical knowledge leads to a successful training plan. Combine this with long-term goals and discipline, and you will maximize your running potential. These are the foundations behind my passion for the beautiful, brutally honest, and immensely rewarding sport of trail and ultra running.
